Obituary for Shenia Walker

Miss Shenia AishaMarie Walker, 29, of Bristol, Ct. was called home Wednesday April 3, 2013 to be with her Lord and Savior. Shenia was born May 1, 1983 and was the daughter of Mr. Penny and Mrs. Mozelle (Wrice) Walker, of Bristol, CT. She was baptized at Spottswood A.M.E. Zion Church, New Britain, at the age of 6. Shenia was a graduate of Bristol Eastern High School, she attended Tunxis Community College and she was currently enrolled in Lincoln Culinary Institute. She was employed at Dunkin Donuts for many years where she last held the position of shift manager. Shenia's favorite past time was baking treats for her sons and her love for baking inspired her to one day open a bakery of her own.

Shenia was a devoted mother of four beautiful sons, Nasir Kalique Walker-Jenkins, Naseem Maurice Walker-Jenkins, Mario Enrique Rivera, Jr. and Amari James Rivera. She is also survived by her two grandmothers Marie Brooks and Abolene Williams, her birth parents; Ramona Brooks and John Williams, Sr. Shenia was a beloved sister of thirteen siblings; Perry (Pam) Robertson, Taffie (Mark) Walker-Dudley, Tammie Walker, Wendie Walker, Shajuana Cordero, Ashley Walker, Elena Grimes, Elijah Grimes, Shai Ramos, Kaison Brown, LaToya Williams John Williams, Jr., Destiny Tucker and a host of cousins, Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Shenia was pre-deceased by her grandparents; Dr. Rev. Harold Wrice, Sr. and Mrs. Peggy Wrice, Mr. Penny Walker, Sr. and Mrs. Lucille Walker and Maurice Brooks.

Homegoing Celebration for Shenia will be held Thursday April 11, 2013 at noon at Spottswood A.M.E. Zion Church, 25 Crestwood Lane, New Britain, Ct. with the Rev. Mark J. Roderick, Sr., Pastor, presiding. Committal service and final resting place will be in Quinnipiac Cemetery, Marion Avenue, Southington, Ct. Relatives and friends may call at Spottswood A.M.E. Zion Church Thursday from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. Flowers will be accepted at the church Thursday from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Service of comfort provided by the Paul A. Shaker / Farmingdale Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Avenue, New Britain, Ct.
