Obituary

June A. (Niewinski) Garcia, 59, of New Britain, CT died peacefully with her loving husband Pedro Garcia and family by her side Thursday January 24, 2019 at Hartford Hospital. June was the daughter of the late John and Irene (Kalisz) Niewinski of New Britain, CT. June was a graduate of Tunxis Community College and was employed by Central Connecticut State University for thirty-two years. She was a very faithful member of Sacred Heart Church. June loved traveling to and snorkeling in the Caribbean Islands with her husband. She was very active enjoying walks with her husband, skiing in Vermont, and going out dancing. She was a dear friend to many and was always helping others when needed. She was a loving wife and sister, devoted to her home life and spending quality time with her family.

We all will miss her very much as she was a big part of our lives.

I’m so sorry for your loss. June was a true friend always there for me through the years. We had so many great times and were looking forward to their move here to SC, to be riding bikes on the beach and just having fun. I’ll miss her beautiful smile and her vibrant spirit. I’m thankful for the
times we shared and the memories I’ll always treasure. Love and prayers, Sara

Deepest condolences to the Niewinski and Garcia Families. Our loved one, sister, niece, aunt and friend left us much too soon on this earth. I, as a friend of June's, have many fond memories of times spent with her, a loyal friend that loved adventure and lived life to its fullest. She almost reached the summit in life (retirement) to enjoy the view from the peak of this life. The lord had other plans for her. He wanted her to enjoy a grandeur view in heaven. She can serve as an example to all of us to live life to its fullest and smell the roses, as she did and spread love along the way. She will always have a special place in my heart, bring a smile to my face and bring laughter from my belly when I reminisce about times spent together along this journey. Do Zobaczenia kolezanka!

To Pedro,Laura,Arlene and the rest of their extended families, Dana and I are deeply sadden by June's passing. We were both so excited when June and Pedro came to visit us last May. We had so much fun, June and Pedro took long walks on the beach, horseback rides at sunset and of course on Preakness Day the race. June and Dana share a fondness for the ponies and won't you know it June's horse Justify won. June was so excited and happy it spread to everyone around her, she was about to start a new chapter in her life a new marriage, and was on the cusp of retirement, and a relocation down south, but God had other plans for June. We will remember June riding in that 5.0 red mustang convertible top down,Pedro behind the wheel, June with her big sunglasses on just cruising down that highway in the sun. The Hawaiians have an expression "Aloha oe, a hui hou" which translates to Goodbye for now, until we meet again! We love you June, rest in peace cousin. Steve and Dana Newinsky Maui, Hawaii
