Karen Marie Wescott, 72, of Unionville, CT, passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side Tuesday, February 25, 2020. Karen was born in New Britain, CT on June 9, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anne (Rooney) Melescinski. She graduated from Pulaski Senior High School in 1966 and went on to marry the late Kenneth Wescott. Karen absolutely loved cooking, baking and entertaining. Christmas was her favorite time of year. The more decorations and Christmas trees the better. She was a social butterfly and loved to shop. Karen knew all the staff at New Britain General Hospital (HOCC) from the ladies at the front desk to the ladies in the gift shop to volunteers, the security guards and patient coordinators. She was a best friend to her daughters and a true chocoholic. Karen was feisty, funny and full of life, a true fighter that will be missed by all who knew her.
