It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Connie Germano, 84, of Burlington, CT. Connie passed peacefully surrounded by her family Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Bristol Hospital. Connie was born on March 22, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Francisco and Ramona (Baez) Rivera. She grew up in New York City where she met and married her loving husband Charles. It was in that same city that she developed a love for fashion. Shopping for clothing, shoes and jewelry made her extremely happy, which led her to eventually owning and operating her own boutique in Southington for several years. Among many other things she also enjoyed playing bingo at her local churches. Connie was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Burlington. She loved her grandchildren most of all they gave her the greatest joy in her life. Connie always wanted her family to be dressed well and “soft spoken” at all times. Of course, none of us were able to meet up to her high standards and we would be sure to get a raised eyebrow or two in disapproval. That was just one of the small little life lessons she tried to instill in all of us that we will remember with great fondness. We will all try to find comfort in our memories of our much loved angel Connie. May she Rest In Peace.
