Steve & I were best friends in grammar school, from MacArthur Rd. to Linden St. School. We always went together & cut across the lawn to the school. This was prohibited and one day, the principal was watching. He called us alone into his office. I told him I did cut across the lawn; Steve told him we did not. I went home after school. Steve stayed after school. We had fun. I do remember that his mom was such a nice lady. I really missed him when he moved to New Britain, although he wasn't far from my relatives (the Schmidt family and Helen's Store on Corbin Ave.). My sincerest sympathy to Patricia and his entire family. May God Bless him always (and Lord, watch out for that fastball). Dave Schmidt
