Marilyn R. (Twible) Worlund, 86, of Vernon, CT passed away peacefully Monday, December 15, 2020 at her daughter Debra’s home. Marilyn was born in Hartford CT and was the daughter of the late Robert and Edith (Bowers) Twible. She graduated from Bulkeley High School. Marilyn was a kind and beautiful person, never having an unkind word to say about anyone. She was quick to always offer a kind word, a compliment and her beautiful smile to people she spoke to. Mom put her family above all else and wanted nothing more than to spend time with them.

Marilyn leaves her two children, Edward Worlund, Jr and his wife Shirley of Vernon, Ct and Debra (Worlund) Petkis and her husband Robert of Somers, CT, her brother Raymond Twible of Manchester, CT, her seven grandchildren, Linda (Worlund) Senyo, Kimberly (Worlund) Baker, Edward Worlund, III and Savannah (Worlund) Wills along with Jennie (Petkis) Muzzy, Bobby Petkis and Alana Petkis; she also leaves behind five great-grandsons and one great granddaughter all who will miss her dearly. Marilyn was predeceased by her husband Edward H. Worlund, Sr in 1999 and her son Brian E. Worlund in July of this year. She was also predeceased by her brothers Edward, Robert, Richard and her sisters Elizabeth and Barbara.
Ed and Debra are very greatful for each other, their brother Brian, and the presence of friends and extended family over the past three years during her illness as well as Masonicare that allowed her to remain in her home.
A Memorial service for both Marilyn and Brian will be held in late Spring. The Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, CT has charge of arrangements.
