AS WE REFLECT UPON THE LIFE OF FREDERICK MC DONALD MORGAN, SR.., WHOLEHEARTEDLY WE SMILE – Our joy comes in knowing that Mr. Morgan affectionately known as “Fred” to his friends, “Daddy” to his children and “Grandpa” to his grandchildren, has left a powerful impression upon this world.
Frederick Mc Donald Morgan, Sr. was born to the late John and Marie Morgan on Feb. 26, 1934 in Brooklyn, New York. Prior to graduating high school, Frederick started working for NYCHA (New York City Housing Authority). He worked at NYCHA for over 30 years and retired as supervisor in 1989.
In addition to working for NYCHA, Fred created his family in Brooklyn, NY. Fred was a hardworking man who took care of his family. He also loved his Calypso music and his cigars. In the early 1990’s, he relocated to Augusta, Georgia, where he resided throughout the years.
Upon his departure from this life, he leaves behind to mourn his death, his twin brother Oscar Morgan,
Daughters, Andrea, Simone, Nicole and Nichelle, son Frederick Jr., daughter-in-law Tammy Brown, son-in-law, Curtis Stanley, Sr.; grandkids, Traves, Ebony, Curtis, Jr., Karon and Shakim; great grandson, Pierre and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Most importantly, Fred left behind his words of wisdom, nurturing nature, lively spirit and all the love our hearts could hold.
Frederick MacDonald Morgan, 88, of New Britain, Ct. died peacefully at home, Thursday, Feb. 23, 2023.
Funeral rites for Frederick will be held Friday, March 3, 2023 at the Paul A. Shaker Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Avenue, New Britain, Ct. at 11 a.m. Committal service s and final resting place will be in Fairview Cemetery, 120 Smalley St, New Britain, Ct.
